To better reflect the diverse professionals it serves, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has rebranded its prestigious Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards as the NARI Remodeler of the Year™ Awards.
The updated name highlights the evolving remodeling industry and the many skilled professionals involved in bringing high-quality remodeling projects to life.
“With its new name, the awards shine a light on the evolving industry and the many skilled professionals who bring remodeling projects to life,” said Jason Hensler, past President of NARI National. “The NARI Remodeler of the Year Awards™ will continue NARI’s decades-long tradition of recognizing exceptional remodeling results.”
The NARI Remodeler of the Year™ Awards remain one of the most respected and competitive awards programs in the remodeling industry. NARI will continue to provide strong support for both submissions and winners, reinforcing the program’s reputation for excellence.
The 2026 NARI Remodeler of the Year™ Awards program will open for submissions in mid-October.
NARI members may submit projects in 44 categories, including:
Residential kitchens and bathrooms
Whole-house remodeling
Exterior renovations
Landscaping and outdoor living design
Entries are evaluated by a panel of impartial, industry-leading judges within one of seven regions nationwide. Regional winners automatically advance to the national competition, where judges select one national winner per category from the regional finalists.
In addition, many NARI chapters host local awards programs, offering members even more opportunities for recognition. Participation at the chapter level is not required to enter the national awards.
Professionals preparing to enter the 2026 awards are encouraged to explore previous winning projects for inspiration and insight into what sets award-winning remodeling work apart.
