1. CEUs must have been completed in the 12 months preceding submission of the renewal application.
2. CEU entries must specify the following:
   • Session name
   • Organization which delivered the educational session
   • Date the candidate attended the session.
   • Duration of the educational session (number of hours)
3.  1 hour of education = 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
4.  A 45-minute session is rounded up to 1 Continuing Education Unit.
5. Certification renewal applications will not be accepted without the corresponding continuing education.
6. Renewal application fees will be refunded if a renewal application is submitted without required CEUs, the application will not be processed, and the certification will not be renewed. 

NARI Educational Sessions

1. Educational sessions delivered in person or via webinar.
2. Educational sessions must be of purely educational content, must not be product specific, and must be free of sales pitches.
3. Educational sessions must directly apply to the individual’s role and their certification.
4. Educational sessions can be remodeling, construction, or design related.
5. Educational sessions can also be on topics like business management, financials, marketing & sales, communication, etc., as long as the education actively aids the candidate in improving themselves in their role and as a NARI Certified Professional. 

NARI Volunteer Participation

1. Serving as a Remodeler of the Year (RotY) award judge either for the National competition or for a local chapter competition = 5 CEUs.
2. Volunteering on a NARI National or chapter committee or Board of Directors for at least 6 months within the 12 months preceding submission of the certification renewal application = 5 CEUs.
3. Teaching a remodeling, construction, or design course at a local community college, vocational school, or for NARI certification preparatory courses = 10 CEUs.
