NARI Certification and Education FAQs
The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) offers certifications that recognize individual remodeling professionals’ qualifications in specific areas of practice. NARI’s education programs help professionals strengthen their skills and meet continuing education requirements.
NARI credentials include Certified Remodeler (CR), Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler (CKBR), Certified Remodeling Designer (CRD), Certified Remodeling Project Manager (CRPM), Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC), and Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP). NARI also offers specialist and associate remodeler designations and master certifications. Review each credential's eligibility and focus before applying.
Choose a NARI credential, meet its experience and education prerequisites, and submit the certification application and required fees. After NARI confirms your eligibility, prepare through an optional course or self-study and pass the required exam. The specific qualifications depend on the credential.
No. NARI certifications are available to eligible members and nonmembers. Employees of NARI member companies receive discounts on certification, preparatory courses, and renewal fees.
NARI offers live webinars, workshops, and an on-demand education library (available to NARI members only) for remodeling professionals.
Many webinars are free to both NARI members and non-members. Check the registration information for the specific NARI webinar or workshop to confirm its price, member discount, and CEU value. Pricing depends on the offering; membership should not be interpreted as including every course, workshop, or certification program.
